Friday's Big News: Baugher's Back

And thank the stars above for it. Silly Jackles, publicly gloating and emasculating David Karp, and then Tweeting about how happy she was at the precise time when unbiased observers saw her fighting back tears at Fashion Week and typing frantically on her iPhone. "I AM BLESSED!!!"

Oh Jackles. Taunting a sleeping Baugher? Not a good idea. Remember, bunny -- she has all those nasty e-mails you sent her about your supposed BFFs!

  1. Oh, please, please tell more about these emails?!

  2. Baugher is always dropping hints about them, including in this latest post. It is my fondest desire that one day she posts them.

  3. Or he, whoever Baugher might be.

  4. Baugher, we implore you, please post those emails!! This Nonsociety nonsense must be nipped in the bud, before the mind cancer has a chance to spread any further. Do you want her to be a guest speaker at TED next year? At Davos???

  5. ^further, farther, I don't know; I flipped a coin.

  6. Baugher is a crusader, and I am glad, that I finally know she is a she!

  7. I kinda thought Baugher was a guy. But then, I also thought there was hope for Jackles (a looooooong time ago.)

  8. Of course, not that I care either way.

  9. Guy: Yeah, I always did too. I assumed a gay male in the Gawker world. I don't know why, but that was always the feeling I got when reading it.

Whoever he/she is -- we salute you!

  10. I think I've figured it out.

When Julia is down, sad, whatever...because she's all into The Law of Attraction...she Tweets and blogs about how HAPPY. SHE. IS. The purpose of this LOA practice is that what you put out in the universe comes back to you. You're supposed to say your affirmations in the present tense so that you begin to consciously believe these thoughts naturally.

Ergo, JA is bummed way out, man.

  11. Christan: Does it work the opposite way too, do you think? When she's truly feeling good, she blogs about how depressed she is?

How cuckoo is that, though, really. She's publicly humiliated, almost in tears, appalled and horrified that a day later, all those blogs are resurrected by her "friend" David Karp -- so what does she do? Starts Twittering frantically about how HAPPY she is. It's almost chilling.

Can't she ever just ignore? Stay offline and ignore?

  12. The problem is that she's too invested in what everybody thinks of her. So she's constantly Twittering and blogging for everyone else except herself.

  13. Somebody else took this pic of Jackles in her pink lei getup, so she couldn't retouch the wonkiness (of her rack AND her eye, heh):

Found this link on Twitter, and the caption was "hilarity."

  14. The quality of the writing betrays the identity of Baugher...obviously Rachel Sklar.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I kind of thought it would be someone close to her. Rachel Sklar is a great theory.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would TOTALLY buy Rachel Sklar. That would explain so much, including the need to outwardly remain friendly to her.

    ReplyDelete
  17. All I know is that Gawker told her it was someone it wasn't to throw her off the path. So Sklar makes sense. She's an occasional Gawker tipster.

  18. Re: the candid pic.
I've asked it before and will ask again, Isn't it wintertime in New York?

Everyone around her is dressed in winter clothes and she looks like she's at a tiki bar in Boca.

  19. Goodness, it's not Sklar but Baugher is most definitely female, Bunnies!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I know who Baugher is. It's not Sklar.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Didn't Julia say once she knew who Baugher was and was threatening to expose HER identity (she was set on Baugher being a girl, as well)? Can't find the post..

It's all pretty amusing now because Baugher seems so tame compared to the other sites out there now (including this one) that focus on JA. Baugher kept it classy, yet JA still wanted to get revenge.

  23. JA thought it was SKlar, it is not sklar

The reason JA talks to, emails TW and TSM is that she thought those people were behind Baugher site.

Now folks what if its Owen of ValleyWag/Gawker?

Owen does have the skills to write like that..:)

That is right JA, better keep reading this site to learn who it is :)

  24. Sklar doesn't have the brains, style, humor or subtlety to even kiss Baugher's hem.

Of course, I mean the Baugher blogger, not her intellectual equal Julia Allison Baugher.

    ReplyDelete
  25. And by "her intellectual equal," I meant that JABA the Nut is Sklar's equal, not that the Baugher blogger is.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Baugher outed herself right in the comments of this site!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Anon 2:29 - And where would that be?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mona, ahem its a former gawker employee lets say :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anon 2:29, thank you for sentencing me to spending the rest of the weekend combing though old comments. Thanks a lot.

  30. Emily got duped into being Jaba the Nut's BFF and doing her bidding.

I've had a lot of trouble lately seeing the comments of the most recent post at any given time. Often when I click on the comments link it leads to a blank page with only the header and sidebar but no comments or other writing on it.

Just wanted to let you all know. Not sure if there's some sort of problem with blogger or what.

  32. ineff, i have been experiencing the same problem.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Same problem here, too. Probably a Blogger thing.

As to Baugher, if it's Gould than she is a better writer than I gave her credit for. However I doubt she could interrupt her own navel-gazing long enough to devote a site/cite/sight to someone else.

Was Jessica Coen ever forced to cover JA? Gawker's archives are messed up and I am having a hard time finding her old posts. Sheila was definitely harsher on JA than Emily and she has writing skills, too.

Other than that... Doree? Anyone? Bueller?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah I don't thik Gould is a good enough writer, sorry. But a Gawker writer makes total sense. That would explain all the tips and why Baugher says he/she has evidence of JA writing in tips about her own friends since JA has been accused of doing that by way of the Gawker tip line. I think it's as good a guess as any at least.

  35. No, Baugher's never worked at Gawker.
