RB: Julia, Jan 15, 5:46pm

Someone needs to get Julia Allison her own comedy show. The conversations between her and Mary Rambin are simply side-splitting:

  • Mary: See how good that necklace looks on me?
  • Me: Yes.
  • [beat]
  • Me: Did you steal it?
  • Mary: Of course!
  • Me: [LAUGHTER] I still haven't worn it, though!
  • Mary: You're never going to wear it. It's too cool for you.
  • Me: I don't have a comeback to that.

  1. Well actually Mary, when you borrow or get products for free with the understanding that you will promote them honestly and effectively and then you don't... that IS stealing, bunny.

Are you skeezed out by the shady way that Julia Allison, Meghan Asha and Mary Rambin conduct "business?" Go to the source of their funding: their sponsors. If you think their associations with their sponsors cheapen the brand, take a minute and and write the sponsor/brand/PR agency a polite and well worded comment. Here are just a few below:

  3. Preston, THANK YOU! But I think we need to be putting more emphasis on WELL WORDED. Some of these comments people are leaving have typos that make US look dumb, which defeats our purpose.

  4. OMG, now I have to go check for typos...

  5. As one of those making the occasional typo I have to say well worded and typos are not mutually exclusive. I think well worded comments with a respectful tone are crucial but that the occasional typo is understandable in online comments and doesn't detract from meaning and credibility. Now when you get in the "suit-o" and "she she" category that is no longer a typo and is a different story altogether.

  6. the "suit-o" one cracked me up, but really, who at kodak or cisco or yummy tummy is taking that seriously?

  7. I simply love it that Julia Allison thinks this threadbare dialogue is ready for its screenplay or television close-up. Gosh. Noel Coward is a flip-flip-flippin' in his flippin' grave. Along with Dorothy Parker.

  8. Thanks for the love, folks! What annoys me more than anything about Julia Allison, Meghan Asha and Mary Rambin is their incredibly over inflated sense of entitlement. They want to gobble up every free product, trip, speaking engagement, show and endorsement they can get their greedy little hands on, without having to provide a valuable product in return. What's more, they have to lie about sponsor coverage and page views on Nonsociety to do it... so they are not even building their business honestly.

If this dishonestly annoys you, complaining here (although it is fun!) or on their site does you no good. It only gets them page views and they can delete the negative comments anyway. You HAVE to contact their sponsors, advertisers and affiliated companies. And stop visiting their site.
