Sneak Preview: A Look of Terror

RBNS will blog later about this train wreck of a JA interview with Tina Brown later today, but in the meantime, feast your eyes on this screengrab:

  1. Priceless. Fucking priceless.

Tina's expression just screams: WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!

  2. It evokes so much laughter. I am laughing too hard to even press "post comment." Oh, here it comes...

  3. Is anyone else having trouble viewing JA's Tumblr?

  4. The wonky eye is in full force there. Even Tina's staring at it.

  5. The braying donkey is frightening the nice lady

  6. video gone.. oh oh JA is reading this site or is that cite?

  8. First she pressures Tina about ads, then comments that she doesn't know why people are pressuring Tina about ads. Bwahahahahahahaha. Dumb twat.

Am I the only one who thought JAB was too informal at the end, calling her "Tina" and trying to paw on her (as TB pulled away), rather than shaking her hand and calling her Ms. Brown?

  9. WTF?? Jackles comments on how clean and ad-free TDB is, then when Tina sets her straight, Jackles acts like she's so in-the-know about the ad situation. mmmkay, Lady Chameleon.

LMAO at "18 is the perfect age to be." Um, no.

  10. Can we please talk about the joke that is the live video streaming of fashion week? I've checked it a few times when Mary said she would be streaming only to find old videos of Julia and Meghan interviewing people. When it finally did show "fashion week coverage" it just showed extremely grainy footage of someone (Mary?) wondering around a vague location. Poor quality, poor coverage, poor everything. Don't promise something you can't deliver.

  11. I think some of our ire needs to be directed towards those assholes at TONY who keep giving this piece of shit a microphone, a camera, and a forum for spewing tripe.

Grab up all the issues of TONY you can find and let's meet up for a bonfire in the middle of Times Square.

    You SUCK, Time Out.

  12. Note to JA the Jankles Jackal:

    Its not VISITOR PAGE VIEWS!

You see when you change a web site design so that you artificially inflate page vies that cuts in half the web ad conversion rate, you know all those click throughs on the ad link, thus advertisers see that ad conversion rate halving and determine that they want their ad inventory place elsewhere..ie LOSSES..

You do know Julia that e through adsense do look at ad conversion rates per site, right?

  13. While I kept expecting Julia to offer to go down on Tina during the vimeo, it was our lady's passive aggressive comments that left me giggling. Not just the braying about working for the Huffington Post out of on nostril while cutting the site down with the other, but the donkey just kept going on and on about the Daily Beast having so sponsors! Way to go, Julia. Do you think Tina's ever going to offer you that dream job now? Oh wait, Tina went on and on about the Beast's pieces possessing quality and being subject to strict editorial standards. Guess they leaves you out.

  14. Jackles, aren't you too much of a up-and-coming lady entrepreneur to be taking on such a demeaning role at FW? Shouldn't YOU be the one being interviewed?

That's what really cracks me up about all this mess. She's just another microphone to these folks who need publicity. They tolerate her, because celebrities pretty much expect a bunch of inane questions from "girl" reporters.

  16. Tina should have said, well, we're picky about our advertisers. We would never settle for, say, frozen chicken shards or Insultboots.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oops, that should read "no sponsors" and "guess that leaves you out." I really do need to proof these things. Must have been employing Jackles own editorial standards.

That is exactly what they do, that, is how they live differently. They say they are going to go here and there and do this and that and then, when they don't, they say they will address it later. Then they begin a whole new cycle.

Mary, perfect case in point. She stated that the coverage was going to be so different from the boring bad pics she posted last year [her words] blogged about her tech stuff-- everytime I have clicked on 'live coverage' I am watching the same blueprint cleanse interview.

Her one line captions are a joke. HOW CAN YOU NOT SPELL MONOTONE??? Seems that if you can say it you can spell it. She spends the day yesterday with some guy...and spells his name three different ways. It is pathetic, her sense of entitlement just sickens me. I can imagine her screaming at Charlsie and using all interns as relief for her aggression towards Julia.

Yeah, Mary scares me. Especially, when I see her making headway here, or people commenting that she is the best of the three. Julia is in serious need of help, [I truly believe that] but Mary is just a bitch. The other one-- someone here said it best. Meghanaise.

  19. What happened JAB? Was security too tight at The Daily Beast's inauguration party for you to waltz in there uninvited? Or were you just unable to find it?
What a disappoinment it must have been for you to only be able to impose your uninvited self on that has-been Airanna Huffington's largess. Funny how you were so desperate to be there, though. Didn't mention that to Tina, huh?
Way to keep it classy, Julia.

  20. Someone needs to send it to the editors at the Huffington Post so that they can see the true nature of the ungrateful dickhead who crashed their inauguration party.

  21. A fun game i like to play when watching any video with Jackles in it is to watch the person's face who is NOT talking.

It is super telling vis-a-vis the interpersonal dynamics.

  22. Is is my imagination or do her interviews with men take on a very different tone than those with women? This one was kind of scary.

  23. I feel like TONY willingly keeps her employed because without her embarrassing antics, they wouldn't have their name out there at all. The print industry is dying, TONY was never that critically acclaimed and they need someone who, even if they can't keep them relevant, will at least have people saying their name. I'm pretty sure they know that she doesn't keep readers, nor attract new ones - it's just about name recognition.

  24. Wow, her head goes up and down, up and down, ceaselessly nodding like a bobblehead all the way through the Tina INterview. Too weird.

Plus, INtroducing Julia Allison new i-word catchphrase:

    "INformation architecture."

Use it 3 times and it's yours, bunnies!

  25. Her interviews with men are awful.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Wow. JABA makes it so obvious that she's begging Tina Brown for a job. She is so willing to ditch her "sisters" and "business partners" if she could get picked up by a real media venture.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wow.. um, yeah. The sycophantic head nodding while TB is explaining the site is slightly - make that very - ridiculous and excessive. Someone is DEFINITELY angling to be hired (as if we didn't know, even a whole month ago).
