Krystal: Rambo Replacement, Day 2

http://krystal.nonsociety.com/

Very interesting. And so professional not to let their viewers/fans (Fans? Can there possibly be fans?) know what's going on with the whole "We're Replacing One Vapid Blonde With Another And Hoping No One Really Notices" business strategy.

147 comments:

  1. How incredibly unprofessional. Why in the hell would they promote Krystal Burger's twitter and nonsociety page when they don't even exist?

Here is the only thing on Krystal Burger's twitter:

"I was forced into this account by @JuliaAllison
    12:34 PM Oct 5th, 2008 from web"

  2. Julia's latest tweet... I know her, um, repressed "preferences" have been discussed here before...

"Had a dream I hooked up with Cynthia Nixon, Ellen DeGeneres, Tyra Banks & Oprah Winfrey. Not together, but ... um ... WHAT!?!?!
about 4 hours ago from web"

  3. Julia Baugher is probably trying to stay mum to create some "buzz" but the only thing buzzing around that dead carcass of a "business" are flies.

  4. The only problem with the http://krystal.nonsociety.com thing is that no matter what you type before nonsociety.com, it will bring up the main page and look like a subdomain.

  6. and, 8:55, there is not the slightest hint at the existence of peroxide polly as a contributor. this is worse than any sudden soap opera character replacement.

    another tweet from JA:

    # GOING TO LEGO LAND TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!! @JuliaAllison me any questions/videos/lego stuff you'd like me to do there!3 minutes ago from web

for crying out loud - how old are you, 5??? i personally would like her to overeat on licorice and then get sick on a ride.

  7. Aesthetically, trading in Mary for Krystal is a very bad idea. For some reason, her inclusion in the trio just LOOKS... amateur.

Maybe Krystal's just long over due for a post-90's makeover? Something is , off.

Also, Julia once again demonstrates how unprofessional, and classless she truly is. I'm legitimately disgusted.

Mary, never has a better decision been made!

  8. come on people Julia is special and everything

She even has a special bus ..:)

  9. So, when does Krusty the Klown get her own NS page? Maybe when Mary finally leaves?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Her trip to Legoland is just about right in line with her aging process as Julia Button The Girl Who Aged Backwards. First she was Carrie Bradshaw, next she was Blair Waldorf, and now she's apparently Miley Cyrus. Pretty soon she'll be the Gerber Baby and then hopefully she's vanish from the internet in a poof of pink glitter.

  11. The Julia Allison PLayset includes:

    -Legos to build doll house
    -real small dog to terrorize
    -pink tutu

  12. I apologize for the non-negativity of this comment, but isn't it a bit early to be calling NewMary vapid? I'd hate to think that we're stereotyping her intellect because of her choice in friends and haircolor.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 9:43 - Your friends certainly do say A LOT about you as a person. And, even more so, joining NonSociety says A FUCKING TON about you as a person. No intelligent, self-respecting person would jump into that mess.

    ReplyDelete
  14. 9:43

On the contrary, choice in friends is a very good way to assess someone's character. People are harping on the blonde thing because she's the MR replacement. There's been no announcement, and as someone else said it's kinda like when an actor is replaced on a Soap Opera, nothing is said, and someone that looks "kinda" like them walks into the scene.

Julia in a bikini just a year ago. No comment.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Also, I posted two pictures from Krystal's friendster account yesterday. She, indeed, presents herself in an overtly trashy manner. And most people do equate trashiness with lack of intellect. There's no direct correlation but that is the stereotype. Certainly, it's not very "smart" for a PROFESSIONAL woman who works in Finance to post a picture of herself in a V-Neck shirt that literally stops at the navel while slurping on her lip gloss.

    ReplyDelete
  17. God, looking through those pictures, Julia was STUNNING a year ago. Her skin glowed, even with the spackling of heavy makeup. Her hair was full and shiny, despite the outdated styling. Her body was to die for - curvy, but appropriately toned in all the right places. She still had the dead eyes, but they were hardly noticeable because she was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

Now? She looks average, hardly the breath-taking beauty she once was.

    ReplyDelete
  18. There are some great old photos in Julia's flickr, including this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/juliaallison/399564891/

Funny...I could have sworn her recent trip to the Rangers game was her first hockey game ever. Or was she just looking for an excuse for dressing completely inappropriately?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Mary's advice to Julia has always been in handling extreme stress to get sleep, exercise, and eat right..

Gee, Mary looks liekke she has not aged under NS stress and Julia has..gee wonder why?

    ReplyDelete
  20. You guys are right after all... I just saw the Krystal pictures and it's obvious she is a vapid dumb trashy blonde who has no business being part of NonSociety. I hate her already! Hate her!

But wait, she tipped off Baugher so does that mean I like her?

But she's replacing Mary and I like Mary because she's mean to Julia and God knows we all hate Julia.

But Mary also was dumb enough to get into NonSociety so maybe I hate Mary too? Or do I like Mary now that she's dumb enough to get out? Except she doesn't like dykes and retards.

Julia likes gay women because she just had a twitter about having an orgy with gay women, so... maybe I don't like gay women after all? In which case I like Mary! God hates fags, etc!

But Julia found religion recently... maybe I just hate God.

    I think that's it.

  22. Honestly, I really don't get the body snarking.

I have pretty much the same body as JA and let me tell you...being as skinny as she was two years ago takes a lot of will power...as in I don't think she was eating very much. And for that matter, I look back at pictures of myself two years ago and I wistfully remember the day I weighed 10 lb's less and was always STARVING. Who doesn't have those pictures? Keeping weight off a bottom heavy body is REALLY REALLY hard.

Besides that, my boyfriend leaned over my screen a few weeks ago when I was perusing JA's blog (with pictures of her current weight) and was like who's that? She's hot.

I mean come on, the body snarking is just the lowest level of commentary.

  26. Good God, the requests here for NO bodysnarking and NO pre-judgements about Krystal are as annoying as the bodysnarking and Krystal pre-snark itself.
How about you just quit your bitching and just ignore what you don't like reading here without asking the rest of us to subscribe to your misguided excuses of a moral code, mmkay? Kthanxbai!

  27. My girlfriend is 10 years older than ole meaty knees, and she's in much better shape. This is doubly damming considering she's not a professional attention whore like Julia.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anon 10:05, I agree. It's really undeniable that Julia used to be a very beautiful girl. She now is, umm, not so much. Even worse is that she still carries herself with the attitude of a woman who has always been told she's pretty. That kind of personality is absolutely repulsive paired with her current doughy looks.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Personally, I think Julia's body is great. So she's put on a few pounds and isn't as hot as she was a year or do ago. So her legs are sort of thick and bowed. What's the big deal? To this guy, she looks pretty hot. Okay, annoying and high-maintenance, but I sure wouldn't kick her out of bed. I'd just have to tape her mouth shut.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Her weight isn't the problem. If she had the skin and hair that she had just a year ago and gained 30-50 pounds she'd still be beautiful. The weight isn't what is affecting her looks. It's all the procedures and injections and juice fasts and body abuse that has changed her looks. That bikini photo of her is so gorgeous.

  50. 12:34, WOW. julia is so childish!
if it's so "secret" why are you blogging about it?!?!?! nothing in this woman's life is private.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well hardly Nat, it's just the argument JA would give, don't you know. Quite like this site has always been a beacon of maturity. Hold on whilst I restrain my eye roll.

Anyway, it's interesting that an NS presentation features another blonde that looks like Mary, drops her name within the presentation (with nary a mention of Mary - interesting since she isn't going to be replaced, right?) and promotes a twitter and subdomain that doesn't even exist yet.

What I don't get is why it's so incredible that people are assuming things, when part of that has to do with their failure as a "business" to disclose ANYTHING. This is supposed to be a so-called lifecast, and I thought they'd already been through the ringer and out about being more transparent in the future? Please, enlighten us on how exactly Krystal comes in and fits into this picture at all, because NS sure as hell wasn't interested in informing their audience. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she just gets phased in without a formal introduction. Although now that I've said that, expect one sooner or later.

  55. Please, back off as to whether or not the weight/body snarking is morally reprehensible or not. Julia has brought all of this on herself.

At her last European conference, she was quoted saying she cannot wear the same thing more than twice and here she is in that same, horrible tweedy number we've seen here in numerous time this year.

Here is a person who hires photogs for photoshoots, takes a picture of herself in departure lounges and airline check ins repeatedly and her tiny, pink shoebox. It's OBVIOUS that her looks/weight have changed remarkably over the past 4-6 months. I think it's shocking to see it all so blithely documented by her.

Why would we not comment on what she is putting out there? It's her "content" after all, isn't it?

I am watching this trainwreck out of pure fascination. I am a 40 yr old woman who has known a lot of different types of women over the years (and have been quite a few myself) and have never seen such a self absorbed, know nothing, narcissist, pathological liar in my life. She is sociopathic.

There is no need to call for any of us to post our own pictures. She made this Julia world and put it out there just begging for everyone to take notice.

Well done, Miss Baugher. I'd say I will keep watching (and snarking) until she gets her shit together, but she does not appear to ahve it in her to do so.

  58. No 1:10, just Julia "Little Mermaid Part of MY World" Allison going to LegoLand. As content. For her lifecast business. For advertisers (or visitors, be extension) to hopefully at some point start paying her to do. While wanting to be taken seriously as "one of the few female entrepreneurs out there" (I guffawed), then sometimes saying 'gosh it's just a joke guyz', and eventually wanting to sell it all off to the highest bidder so she can say "Fuck yoouuuuu" to anyone who tries to tell her what to do. That's it, really.

    ReplyDelete
  59. BY extension. My bad!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Well, like people sometimes say, Julia is a PR genius when it comes to self-promotion. You can't deny her the fact that she knows how to create buzz around herself, otherwise... why would you all be sitting around all day, every day, talking about how unprofessional she is.

But I have to ask, unprofessional for what? For a blogger? Is there a set criteria for how a blogger is supposed to act?

You guys merely give her free publicity.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Baugher? I hardly know her.April 3, 2009 at 1:26 PM

I agree with Anon 1:10 but I assume Miss J will do a lipdub there to ruin some poor child's day. (Which I didn't do when I went a few years ago, because I was a grownup.)

But what song will she pick? Pussycat Dolls' "Top of the World"? "Everybody Wants To Rule The World"?

    ReplyDelete
  62. who would want this free publicity?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Why do you need a formal introduction [to krystal] so you can call her all the names you already have, formally?

Look, I am pretty glad that y'all have crossed over to ridiculousness, I have been able to take a much needed break from this circus. I read some of these comments and I think Julia is among these, but she is not who you think she is.

In other words, you're the puppets.

Don't bother telling me she is not that smart.

A quick glance at earlier posts and you see the same names commenting for rather long periods of time, if anyone calls anybody out on how much time is wasted, everyone tries to pass it off that they are only spending a couple of minutes here and a couple of minutes there. Such.Bullshit.

How many times can you comment on how beautiful Julia looked last year but how fat/bloated/potmarked/blotchy/swollen she looks now. Jesus, the weight issue is the deadest horse I have ever seen and yet it gets beaten everyhour.

Who gives a shit if Mary is gone or not? I thought you all wanted her gone from NS, why doesn't TEAM RAMBO f'ing e-mail her and ask her what the hell she is doing? Do we not like Mary anymore, in case she stays? And BTW, just cause K is blonde how does that mean she looks like Mary?

Seems to me, Mary is as passive aggressive with you [her fan base] and she is with her supposed friends. 92 more posts after the streamys?
Couldn't find Adrien, kyle king, nutrionista, or some yacht worker to post for HER lifecast today?

  65. This - what is going on here - is not publicity in any sense of the word, That Girl Allison. It's a few dozen people gathering online to bag on Julia. It's about as much publicity as her blog is a "business," which is to say, not much at all.

That "buzz?" It's the sound of flies hovering over rotten garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I just want to point out that the advertisement at the right-hand end of Julia Allison's life-stream (or whatever) is for larger-than-life sized bronze tiger statues.

Larger-than-life-sized bronze tiger statues? That's so effed-up I can't even think of something funny to say...

At least larger-than-life-sized bronze tiger statues are less sinister than the Scientologist bible Dianetics that was being advertised in that same space a ocuple days ago.

    ReplyDelete
  67. That Girl Allison ... thanks for popping up here and thereby confirming that you've been leaving some incredibly lame anonymous comments recently. Before you slam all of us, can you offer up something - anything - supporting or defending Julia? Anything at all?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Julia is a PR genius. Since she has nothing interesting to offer outside of her own narcissism, she really and truly created this bad buzz all on her own.

And yes, there are professional bloggers. So so so many. Thousands read their entries every day and enjoy engaging in comment discussions. Julia, I wager, has no idea this world is out there, and that's why she keeps talking about her blog like she invented it. Karp is the one who came up with the Tumblr service she is now claiming was her idea.

    ReplyDelete
  69. But if she went away, what would you do for 23 hours a day.

    ReplyDelete
  70. LMAO. For the journalist title she drops with bloody aplomb 24/7, Allison. Lack of ethics, plagiarizing with regularity and opting to crowdsource constantly for ideas rather than - oh IDK - brainstorming and actually researching a topic does not a journalist make. She should OWN the egoblogger title and be done with it. A journalist and/or writer, she might'd had the slimmest chance at being able to claim the title (or even aspiring) ages ago but she's been long since neglecting any talent she had for that to fly now. Yet again, it's her wanting a title that's representative of much more than what she is or would ever be willing to work for. "Reality show star" would have been easier. She could have been a character and gotten paid for it, no work on her part. NS has been nothing but a front for that, and once it was off the table the true colors and her boredom with the project began to show.

Good for her that she generate publicity and buzz, if this is the kind of attention anyone would honestly aspire to be getting. I'll never understand it or want it. She used to say any publicity was good publicity, but she doesn't think so now when it's pretty much 100% negative and the cutesy-look and behavior don't fly as she's getting older and the looks dwindle. I feel sorry for her a little more everyday because so long as she keeps denying the reality check she so desperately needs, this can only continue to go doooown. She places as much value in her appearance as people on this site repeatedly complain too many people do, so it's not always about us. Her dissatisfaction with herself won't be fixed with all the money, injections, extensions and makeup in the world - it would be nice if she could realize that.

    ReplyDelete
  71. 1:37 (#1), go on with our lives as we do every day. Julia isn't the only trainwreck in the world, she's just the one that happens to be on this radar in THIS corner of the internet. Try harder next time.

    ReplyDelete
  72. There are professional bloggers but Julia is not one of them. We hold her to a standard of professionalism and call her out on unprofessionalism because she PROMOTES HER BLOG AS A PROFESSIONAL, INCOME GENERATING BUSINESS. Why is that so hard for some people to wrap their minds around?

    ReplyDelete
  73. OH MY GOD NAT. You're right!!!! I am a puppet to Julia Allison and I really do spend 23 hours a day here. I am jealous and I weigh 240 lbs. I am such a loser. Let me go slit my wrists with paper clips now.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Nat, the fact that you've opted to lump everyone in one class of commentary basically says it all. Sorry, not all of us post here 24/7 or say rude or nasty things about the girls all the time or even some of the time. Unfortunately, the majority of the comments are in that vein because the girls have presented themselves as unlikeable and some people here have actual in-person experience with them. I'm still waiting for a verifiable positive account that isn't from someone who's met them for the first time or someone they're using for advancement. Not interested in the fakeness being presented as "well, in my experience" when we've already heard the other side of the coin about the rudeness to someone who'd met one or two them - the dismissal when they weren't someone who could advance them or their career, and their treatment of the intern who was helping THEM for no real return.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I like you, Jealous Mush & Flatface.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anon 1:45, I think that's the concern -- that a lot of commenters are making ALL the commenters look idiotic. There is no good way to sort it out.

The issue isn't saying rude or nasty things, it's saying stupid things, or things made up out of whole cloth, or obsessive things, or paranoid things. It's silly to argue though -- because you either see it, or you don't, or you do see it, but you're too invested anyway so you make up ridiculous-sounding rationalizations.

    ReplyDelete
  77. 1:39 I have to assume these are people who are also too polite to complain after they've been ripped off or simply ignore problems with products or services. They get what they deserve if they're allowing themselves to be duped, is all. The real world isn't sugarcoated and these girls are well in (beyond?) their 20s. They are running a business and can, and should, be held accountable for when they're doing something wrong. There's nothing wrong with shutting the business down, taking a hiatus to regroup and refocus. They won't ever do this because they're too busy trying to pull attention away from the failures, present things as if they're addressing problems and fixing them, and making it look like they're running a legitimate business solely for the sake of acquiring more perks. Whatever if this doesn't "bug" you, but that's what this site is here for. Let's not forget it stemmed from constructive criticism and concerns being deleted or ignored repeatedly. Oh well, it's been blown out of proportion due to consistent neglect - this happens in the age of the internet and no company is immune to it. Most are just smarter and well-prepared for it. Never mind that if your idea of self-promotion is to shamelessly court and bait Gawker (a media gossip site) endlessly in the beginning, you can only guess which way that'll end up.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I mean, the point of being here is to say rude and nasty things, so it's hard to object to that category.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I think a distinction has to be drawn. While NS is supposed to be their profession, it is still a LIFECAST. I think it should be viewed in that vein. In other words, it's not always going to be professional or PC, because peoples lives are not like that.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Well 1:49 I do see it and I don't particularly care. I don't identify with this site so seriously like some apparently do or feel it reflects on me in any way because trolls and conspiracy theorists pop up all the time. I think people are starting to hold this site up to some ridiculous standard and I don't know why that is. There are made-up comical contributors on it and enough crap in the comments that anyone wading through would have to do quite a bit (and won't really care) to find the better commentary. The site can't be the way it began in the beginning. We're following what is quite obviously a joke and the legitimate criticisms have already been made long ago. It's really just excess now, but some don't care because it's all amusing... which I think should be the point.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yes anon 153 but a distinction has not been drawn. Julia slapped together a rather lazy lifecast and wants to call it a business and make large amounts of "fuck you" money. That's like expecting to make money off your Facebook profile. Nice... but it ain't gonna work. She got some free stuff, her biz never took off and now she's floundering around with a tenuous grasp on reality.

  84. Commenters unravel into saying stupid crap because you can only make fun of Julia in new and creative ways for so long. It's fucking boring and tedious to parse her because she exhibits the same stupid behavior over and over and over again. That is why the comments go wacky.

  85. Even the biz, 1:56! Much like how drug dealers have their fronts, it was like NS was the front for the Bravo show that never was. It gave them something to do so they could be the IT girls they were supposed to be for the show and keep Bravo interested. After Bravo was a sealed deal, it's easy enough to say "we have our own show on Bravo". Boom you have the cachet to get access to fabulous events, free clothes and lots of opportunities, and maybe the motivation that the whole world (or a lot of it) would be watching would have been good enough. I can't even see why they'd want to keep up NS after Bravo was over, aside from maybe hoping to get another chance on another network, when possible fame seems to have always been a huge (maybe even the biggest) motivational factor.

  87. No way, ANON 1:58. I am totally going to keep those attempted paperclip suicide scars on my wrists. That way everyone can ask me about them and I get an opportunity to drag out my sad tragic story over and over and over again (sort of like when I had bulimia). Maybe I'll even get a tattoo around my paperclip scars to draw more attention to them - LIU - Loser Is Undead. I'lll make a video about it, of course.

  88. After all this it still never ceases to amaze that folks are so up in arms over internet stuff. This girl, for all the 'putting herself out there' she does, has never been stalked or harrassed in real life. I think it's better that nobody actually dislikes her to the extent that they're seeking her out and actually wanting to or following through with harming her. Nobody actually wants to meet her, be face to face with her, know her, find her, whatever. It's all just words on the net and she could rise above if (as I suspsect) she didn't had the few moments where she herself questioned her behavior due to it being brought to her attention by herself, through her self-obsession. I'm sure they'd be rare, but I can't imagine that wouldn't be in her mind stressing her out at least some of the time. If you're in the public eye people will definitely talk about you and a lot of them might hate you for no reason. It would take MUCH self-confidence and strength to ignore that and not read what's said about you and I honestly cannot see Julia not trying to find and subsequently ending up reading every single word. The control thing, again.

  89. I'm a loser too. And rapidly gaining weight too.

    ReplyDelete
  93. 1:59, you'd think once people ran out of things to say, they'd just stop talking, ya know? Sort of like with Julia?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Anons 227, perhaps we should appoint you as a comment moderator and the high judge of what is amusing and what is not amusing. Really... get off your high horse.

And we will run out stupid drivel to say when Julia Allison runs out of stupid drivel to say, which doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Also, I think the problem is that she makes so many absolute statements and contradicts herself sometimes no longer than a day later that people can't help but back-reference when she's made the claim or done something similar to call her out on it. Like for instance, when she claims to be nice or someone comes here to say so, people really CAN'T HELP but offer up the many, many instances where she has unabashedly and publicly been anything but.

Then there are when new people come across the site and don't understand why so it exists and so people have to rehash all her past bitchery to help them understand. Who knows, maybe she'll do something at some point that people can't comment negatively on or that, if people do, truly WILL seem like pointless "you just don't like her" nit-picking then. That hasn't really happened yet but I think it's harder not to color everything she does according to what you know of her, particularly when you've been made aware of it to the extent some commenters here have, and for as long as they have. Don't miss that there are people here who did like her, maybe some that still do but check in and don't comment as much. There are all types, some are just much more vocal about their opinions than others.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Really? Making fun of her going to Legoland (not doing anything *at* Legoland, because she hasn't gone yet) doesn't seem a little pointless?

  97. Remember at the end of The Truman Show when Truman left his televised world for a world where he wasn't constantly being watched? People moved on right away because that's just how we roll. If Julia's internet war ended, I'd be fucking thrilled, and then I'd promptly forget about her.

  102. Criticisms about criticisms about critique of drama about. . . . aka what's going on right now.

But, I'm meeting men and having fun for sure. It's just not a priority in my life and have never been. I'm young, have a lot of things I want to accomplish for myself first and know I have all the time in the world to settle down into a relationship. Having one shouldn't really define you, nor do I think anyone should run away from them. But to meet men (successfully) and have fun, you have to be OK with your life and yourself as is. You can't be constantly seeking the material objects or people for the purpose of filling a void that comes from something else entirely. It's a neverending battle.

  106. Part of the reason you need to consume media with a critical eye is that it often serves to solidify this notion that you need to buy certain things or live a certain lifestyle to be accepted and happy. If you can't view that objectively and realize it's a construct for entertainment or consumption-boosting purposes, you're bound to keep clawing for what you cannot plausibly get without an insane amount of luck. I know it's been mentioned on this site many times before but Sex & The City is a perfect case, from which naive girls get the glossy-eyed visions of a fabulous spacious(ish) co-op, a closet full of designer and Manolos and a cushy paying job as a writer with one's own column, all while being able to have nights on the town with similarly fabulous, moneyed friends. Nice dream, but chasing it as the only way someone can be satisfied with life and themselves is a recipe for disaster and long-term unhappiness.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Julia, read Anon 3:11. You're at the core of The System. And to critique you, is to critique The System -- you're a fantastic illustration of consumerism, superficial happy-fixes, and non-introspection.

  108. What is up with JAB's twitter?

    ReplyDelete
  109. The interesting part is nobody would blink an eye at this or her if it were taking place 2 years ago while celebrity and even somewhat-celebrity worship was just about at its zenith. When everyone on the sun was getting famous, money, or a little notoriety for not doing very much. It's a bit disturbing and somewhat insulting in light of the economy for girls (sorry I must say girls) like Julia to think it's OK to continue perpetuating the bullshit, setting an example for the rest of the naive who would sooner adopt similar principles than reject them as wrong. It's amazing that even the legitimately wealthy are at least trying to APPEAR like they're reconsidering what's truly important and valuable, even if it's not the case. Yet for some reason it's preferable for her to continue pushing a facade because her values haven't changed from adolescence; some people just don't evolve naturally. It takes their losing everything (money, looks, relationships) and hitting a complete "rock bottom" to snap out of it. She'll start snapping out of it as she gets older because she won't have a choce. She'll have to find something else to bolster her self-esteems, and only then will she start lowering her expectations.

They advertised from the beginning that they are bringing on other contributors and through my diligent blogging about cupcakes, bad dates and my faaabulous life in New York City, they have chosen wonderful ineffable ME as the fourth member. I am even a redhead, so I will be a bit difficult to replace!

Be sure to follow me on twitter and my lifecast, as soon as I get the started up in the next few weeks. I have to get my new bestie Meghan to help me figure out all this web 2.0 business.

I mean, seriously. If you disagree with this website, why do you visit AND post comments? I'm not a Republican so I don't visit Rush Limbaugh's website because it's pointless and unenjoyable. 136. I'd also never call her a PR "genius." Most of her "work" came from Star magazine and other people's money and backs. That's why nobody will hire her and why she keeps "quitting" jobs. If using a senator who was a bit of whore himself as your means of being a "genius" at anything puts her right up there with the Spitzer hooker.

    That Girl Allison

You poor, pitiful thing. Have you not realized that Julia Allison Baugher's career is in the toilet? She had minimal cachet when she was showing her cleavage to Henry Kissinger at the White House Correspondent's Dinner and even less when "working" for supermarket rag Star Magazine. Ms. Baugher has since burned just about every bridge she's ever crossed, but keep on defending her, sweet cheeks!

    ReplyDelete
  138. The saddest thing is that if her personality and motivations were entirely different, she might have had a very successful career. It's a shame she didn't come into some sort of enlightenment at an earlier age, because she's still operating with some very juvenile ways of thinking and her actions follow suit. It's too late for her to salvage things due to the trail left online (her own doing) but I'm saddened for her when I imagine how she might feel when SHE imagines "what might have been". I really hope that some younger girls are watching her and realizing that isn't how and who they want to be, rather than the opposite reaction. She is a cautionary tale for many.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I can't really fault Allison. I used to be enamored of people I thought were worthy of holding up on a pedestal, too. It's almost unavoidable when they have what you think you want or are who you think you'd like to be. However, the more you become comfortable with being an individual (and yourself) and focus more skeptically on the implications of the actions of others, the more you see that much of the false bravado some people present is part and parcel of trying very hard to conceal a reality about them that is less appealing (or inconsistent with what they're trying to present) and sometimes just plain insecurity. I think she'll learn at some point, but maybe she still has hope for Julia.. particularly as she met her and Julia recognized her and was extra nice.

    ReplyDelete
  140. IP blocking: We have some regular tipsters, people who check out her blog pretty regularly, including first thing in the morning, and then e-mail to point things out. It saves us a lot of work, actually.

And two of them suddenly were unable to get on her site until they shut their machines down and got a new IP. She must have assumed they were behind RBNS since in both cases, I posted something pretty soon after they'd tipped me off.

    ReplyDelete
  141. WTF. I'm from Denmark (probably my IP-adress Jacy was referring to in another post) and this bitch (Growlia) should not be in this country. The InnovationLab (NEXT) conference is a joke. No one takes it seriously here, TRUST. Growlia is here because of her tits, nothing more.
i've been reading this site some time now, never written anything, but believe me but I can not sit here and watch people associating Denmark with Growlia, she is joke in Europe too.

    ReplyDelete
  142. When have I ever said I was enamored by her? She knows how to market herself - THAT'S what I said. Did I say, "Wow,she knows how to market herself, I wanna be just like her!" Let me know, because I don't remember typing those words.

I mean, yes, I happen to like the color pink and cupcakes too, but I think a lot of people on this planet like those things.

    ReplyDelete
  143. OP said they were enamored, I don't think it was a be all end all descriptor. At a point though it did seem that you wanted to be just like her back in the QOTD days.

    ReplyDelete
  144. alison, i just don't get why you keep coming back to RBNS and fighting these pointless battles with anonymous people over a woman that you don't even know and you met in real life one time. seriously. obviously things people here are saying about you and about julia are upsetting you so just stop coming back.

and i'm not saying this to be rude or mean, it just doesn't make sense to me why you keep returning and adding fuel to the fire.

    ReplyDelete
  145. She's just trying to defend herself. People keep jumping on this "hate on Allison" train when she hasn't said anything that's bothered me in the slightest.
