Julia: More Fascinating Content

Me: I don't even know what day of the week it is!
Meghan: It feels like Saturday but it's Friday.
Me: I guess that's not that big of a difference.

Once again, the thought process astounds. "Wow.com!! We are SO witty!!! That is SOOOO FUNNY!!! So NOTEWORTHY!!! I am going to blog this right now!!"

  1. I found this little exchange quite inspiring: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-eYhYyTsYw

At least from the outside their lives look like one looong lazy weekend.

  2. Me: Blah, blah, blah.
Meghan: Blah, blah, whoops, I just broke $3000 worth of technology, blah.
    Audience: Zzzzzz.

  3. It's easy to lose track of what day it is when you sleep until noon everyday and spend most of your day on your ass blogging. After you get tired of blogging, then you can waste time flying places for no discernible reason other than to burn up cash and jet fuel and make yourself feel like you're "doing something."

  4. Sheesh, you'd think tech mavens like these two would know about this website: http://isitsaturday.net/

  5. Particularly earth shattering in Julia's liecast today was a snap of her giant Blueprint gallon jug, how she wished that she could take it along on her important cross country jaunts to birthday parties and crashed tech conferences. I've seen more subtle uses of product placement in the latest Adam Sandler shitfest.

Yeah, but the content here sucks pretty much too, so here's the question... who actually posts more old redundant pics than JA?

    Answer: RBNS

Read back posts, especially those of you smart enough to pick a handle, you say the same old shit over and over.

    FLOUNCE!

now call me julia or scarry mary-- warn that the trolls are here/warn not to feed them>>>and get back to how fat she is/isnt/is/isnt/shut up/ no, you shut up/

  8. Hey 3:45! RBNS does not claim to be a "business". It's a snark blog. Comparing this to NS is like comparing chalk and cheese. Asshat.

  9. If we leave a trail fo broken shinny tech gadgets on the ground will we lead Meghaniase to epic Fail or Epic dumbass?

  10. When the person you're snarking on is redundant and tedious, the posts here become redundant and tedious. I don't mind at all. People saying Julia is a sad old never-has-been never gets old. I personally love the old, redundant pictures of Julia because they just remind everyone how fast she's fallen of her wobbly fame pedestal.

  11. @3:45 PM (a.k.a. asshat):

Hey, what's the first derivative of a constant? It's zero. That explains why RBNS is struggling, it is the first derivative of NS and NS is being constantly boring. Hopefully they can pick up the pace at this FooCamp thingy they are crashing with Randi.

P.S. FooCamp is not a real camp, it is actually a tech conference w/ tents - surprise!

  13. Guest of a Guest gives the lowdown of Fat Camp, oops, I mean Foo Camp this weekend, while managing to poke fun at Julia in the process. Sadly Kevin Rose is not going to be there, but there will be 149 other dweebs for Julia Allison do her slobbering fangirl routine on:

Is the government worried that pirates are going to board the S.S. FooCamp? All in all, it looks like a regular sausage-fest. Allison should be thrilled!

  19. Julia camping? This will be interesting..
Hilarious that Julia rejects an In-N-Out burger in favor of a bottle of Blueprint juice, nope, no food issues here. Can just imagine the look on S. Lacy's husbands face when he heard that.

  20. A camp for tech enthusiasts in the social networking field.

JA's site doesn't even allow comments.

This is hysterical. She sticks out like a sore thumb and is clearly there as someone's platonic plus one.

  22. Meh. I'm sure Mr. Lacy didn't blink. After all, he did the Blueprint Cleanse with Sarah a month or so ago. I doubt Julia's antics surprise him anymore.

  23. Oh, I am so looking forward to Julia Allison's camping costumes. This could be good. Wonder if she'll break out the tennis skirt again?

  24. Dyspeptic,

Well, I hope something happens because I am rapidly losing interest in reblogging. Maybe we all crossed too many lines and she has finally pulled back. Maybe she is just no longer willing to put it all out there. My only consolation is that I was thinking these same thoughts right before Easter day.

Me too! And then came Easter morning. And Julia Allison, Our Ineffable Lady, was risen again!

Camping amongst the redwoodz with Meghanaise, RANDIZUCKERBERG and a bunch of techies promises some juicy material.

  26. HA anon 5:58. I always think that, too and then the crazytrain comes pulling into the station right on schedule. I mostly read here as a work distraction and it always amuses me to see what nutjob antics Julia seems to pull out on the weekend. Here's hoping for indiscreet sloppy hookups with tech dorks, drunken twittering, slutty girl scout camping outfits and more creepy SARAH LACY coverage!!!!

Yeah, it's getting a bit boring...Julia, step it up! Go to Dr.Bobby, will ya?! Wear the feather headbands with an apron tomorrow, yeah?! Blog about some conversation you had about your friend fighting cancer, please?! Have Page Six write up another 'juicy' tale about your thigh-rubbing partying, OK?!

    Love,
    Mara

  28. Anon5:58. Christ, I am finding her so tedious and repetitive and boring and lame that I can barely find it in me to reblog her shit. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

  29. BunnyBingo: Meghan as a native Californian should not on *principle* accept any dissing of In N' Out Burger. "Julia, diss on In N' Out Burger, and I will *cut* you."

  30. Mary's departure has shed a pretty bright light on the failure of NS - absolute lack of content.

I'm not saying Mary was a beacon of deep thoughts, either. Far from it. But look what remains there and get out your clean forks. They don't have anything interesting to say. Quite frankly, they are both terrible bloggers.

  31. Does anyone else think all these social media conferences are kind of pretentious? No one knows if all this stuff is going to be more than a fad or if it will ever amount to more than a replacement for television as a frivolous use for one's leisure time. Despite the heavy blog participation in the last two elections, they didn't turn out all that differently from the previous different elections.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Anon 6:51
Yeah, no shit. I occasionally go to conferences in my field - conferences in which people work toward real solutions for actual problems affecting people's lives - and even those often strike me as pompous and self-congratulatory. I can't even imagine how completely worthless these trend-tech circle jerks are.

  33. anon6:36...IA! And on top of that, any self-respecting Cali girl who minds her weight knows that you just order a hamburger animal and protein style and nom that shit cuz it's sooo gooood.
