Julia: ABC Superstar!

Remember that three-network day Jackles boasted about having the other day? A recent Tweet:

Here's the ABC interview I did the other day! http://www.abcnews.go.com/T...

Odd. I wonder where the on-air interview is, because it seems strange indeed that she was summoned to the ABC News studios for this type of interview. (Aside: more whinging about "ad hominem" Internet attacks, by the way ... the phrase that is fast replacing "the ineffable **INSERT NAME HERE**").

  1. Boring...thanks, Julia, you celebrity!

  2. I'm sure she meant to say ABC.online. Right? She would never try to imply that she's more important than she is.

  3. Wow.com. I just read her describing Personratings.com as libellous. She doesn't know what libel is.

  4. Oh my God, some of the comments under her entry are hilarious, from both haters and lovers.

  5. Amazing how ABC put "Internet celebrity" in quotes because I imagine that phrase came right out of her mouth, as opposed to "I've been called.." How seriously embarrassing. Fascinating as well that this so-called status "doesn't harm her much" when she was just complaining about this very thing, critics on the internet, in a ridiculous video last week. I personally am waiting to see the "good" that's appeared about her online within the past like, 4-5 years. Perhaps I've missed it. ABC definitely needs to vet their picks for interviewees better, but I think she was an apropos pick since she actually publicized Radar having named her among the Most Hated on The Internet in her own bio. LOL

  6. How come she didn't mention it wasn't an on-air interview in the first place..?

  7. I don't understand why she should have to clarify what kind of interviews she did. She said she was having a 3 network day and, even though lots of people said they knew for a fact she was lying, it appears as though she wasn't. She did an interview at CBS, and interview with ABC and probably stopped by NBC for a meeting or something for TMI.

  8. Correction:

She said she was having a 3 network day, even though lots of people said they knew for a fact she was lying. It appears as though she wasn't.

  9. I'm just wondering why they couldn't get her quotes over the phone or via email. Usually you waste neither your nor the quote giver's time with a personal appointment if it is for getting comments on some basic questions.

  10. Where was the CBS interview? I missed that one.

  11. And then you have the fact that she's always very vague about what's going on to make it bigger than it is. So she was interviewed by ABC; they did the same when she was claiming to be stalked by the Baugher blogger, it's no surprise they'd approach her again given this particular topic. Yawn.

  12. Well, if anyone actually reads that ABC Online article, they may be curious enough to Google her, so let's get on with it!

  13. So NBC is probs TMI, ABC was this lame little web article and CBS must be about trying to get on Big Brother or something. What else does Jackles have to offer but resident, annoying psycho.

So i still chalk this up to lies b/c it's a) hugely misleading and b) totes irrela.

    LIES! JULIA ALLISON BAUGHER LIES!

  18. That's not an interview! It's a freaken sound bite! What a tool old Toolia is.
And I love how she describes the internet culture as having as an "excess of opinion". What does she want, the Gestapo shutting down any critical commentary on the web? This coming from a "journalist".
Choice quote that makes no sense on any level:
    - Allison said because she is an "Internet celebrity," sites like PersonRatings can't harm her too much.

  19. It's a sound bite. And she sounds like a complete idiot in the interview, anyhow. "excess of opinion is a gem; 11:22 is right. Further, her commentary is illogical. It's like she thinks if she speaking in platitude with a *seemingly* moral high ground, her opinions will be taken seriously. Problem is that anyone with half a brain will immediately see right through her.

  20. I posted a comment on the ABC site. Was up for a few minutes, looks like they deleted it now:

"Julia Allison is your talking head? Do you not realize what a poor reputation she has in the online community due to her dishonest and ethically questionable behavior? She revealed an ex-boyfriends mental illness on the website Gawker.com (http://tinyurl.com/c5dvso). She also revealed the reason he was fired from his last job (http://tinyurl.com/c5dvso). Not someone whose opinion I would value.

  23. Oh. http://www.personratings.com/detail/Julia/Allison/97/
This is why Julia calls the website libelous.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yep, because her highest scores were no more than "3", in the categories of "confident" and "energetic" (and even then, still "not really") and all based on over 200 votes each. It makes her look terrible and she has zero control over it, naturally she'd hate it.

  26. Posted on PersonRatings.com. Who could it be?

New York journalist 04/03/2009 05:42 PM
I have never met Julia Allison, although friends of mine say she's indeed very nice in person. I gave her the highest possible ratings for every category because I strongly disagree with the idea of this website, and she has one of the most visible profiles. Since when are people reducible to a 5-point scale? Why shouldn't we be allowed some privacy and anonymity? A website like this makes it impossible for anyone to really start over. A potential date or employer could Google you and judge you based on, I don't know, what some people you met at a party once thought of you. This is using the Internet in the worst possible way. I hope the creator of this website gets sued into bankruptcy--and that is the only mean, anonymous thing I will ever say on the Internet.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Um, google itself would make it impossible for her to start over. That site barely even scratches the surface with all the junk out there on Julia.

What's the difference between the friends of that commenter (I don't feel it's legit) and some people she'd have met at a party? That she was nice in one context and not in another? None of that makes sense.

  29. No body actually likes Julia Allison Baugher -- or at least that SheMonster she parades around in public with her 'business.'

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tee hee, 1.49. I was about to do the same thing.

That's totally Julia posting online. She probably did it after someone pointed out that her #1 supporter posted anonymously. I imagine that the #1 supporter is Ms Julia Allison Baugher herself.

More lies and deception to add to the growing list.
