Julia: Full Disclosure on SEAWORLD After Getting Called Out

Interesting. She posted this 15 minutes after Gawker posted this.

SEA WORLD, here I come!

A few weeks ago I got an email asking if I wanted to participate in “Manta Media Day” … actually, the wording was hilarious, so I’ll print a bit of it here:

Great news! You’ve been selected as one of the bloggers to attend the Manta Media Day at SeaWorld on May 21st and the VIP party that evening. If you are willing to come a day early/stay a day late SeaWorld can arrange for you to go to Aquatica and Busch Gardens as well as special SeaWorld interactions such as shark deep dive or beluga whale swim.

Great news! I have no idea who the other bloggers are, but I guess I’ll find out soon. :)

Anyway, I called them back and said that it sounded like fun, and I would do it, but only if they let me bring a friend - and they paid me for my time. Like anything I’m paid for, I don’t promise anything other than to show up. If Sea World is lame, they’ll regret inviting me, because I’ll let you know! haha

Anyway, they said yes, I said yes, so Shamu? Get ready!

Oh Jackles. Not this whole pesky "full disclosure" thing rearing its ugly head again. Sucks when readers expect you to be honest and transparent about why you're constantly blogging/Tweeting about various products and services, no?

When are you also going to come clean about your deal with Lunch.com?

140 comments:

  1. They always come way too late and when the questions start arising. Completely unethical and plain dishonest. Journalist, my arse.

    ReplyDelete
  2. What this calls for is the Heil Jackles contest winner to photoshop a picture of Jackles in the famous Braying Donkey pose photoshopped on the body of a killer whale.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Full belly laugh here. Gawd, Total Jing sponsor a prize for said contest.*

To be picked up by my doorman, during a time when I will not be present.

  4. *Total Jing may sponsor (I left out a word)

  5. Julia's Clip On BangsMay 19, 2009 at 6:25 PM

If Julia does the Shark Deep Dive or the Beluga Whale Swim she will be required to wear a wet suit, expect nothing but three quarter profile shots.

  6. she still didn't even say which company. just 'they'. Is this really what Izea signed up for?

can we make 'it's worrisome' the new 'sad :('??

  7. Man, she's totes cowering in her slanket right now. I hope this gets us another crazy late night video.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The chat convo with Ryan is pathetic! She's so trying to pretend she was forthright from the beginning and obviously had big daddy lawyer go over the fine print with her before "getting back to him."

  9. OOps, sorry to duplicate, 6:30.

    ReplyDelete
  10. who is kitkatsplash on gawker? it's worrisome how much I love you right now.

"What about lunch.com, Julia? Why did you delete all the comments from people asking you to disclose that you get free juice from Blue Print??? You deleted the comment in REAL TIME and in REAL TIME put in a disclosure but not before RBNS, and Lunch readers, posted like 10 negative comments.

Is Lunch.com paying you and why do you have the ability to delete comments on your own lunch.com reviews? Other people don't have those rights. Please explain."

likelihood of getting an answer even though she's obviously glued to her screen in damage control mode?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Where that answers the question about Virgin America. I thought you guys were crazy for thinking VA sponsored NonSociety. Wow, they are a really clueless and shitastic company, or at least their marketing team is. It is mind-boggling that Julia gets anything from anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  12. No prob TJ, I found it beyond hilarious. Girlfraud is talking IN CIRCLES in that ichat. Everyone know she presented it as "zomg the fabulous journalist julia allison got invited to cover this sea world thing" until she got called out. She is fooling NOBODY. There is STILL no direct mention of the IZEA company (and what they do) - just that "she was GONNA do it later"! yeah, OK.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Same as Virgin America, she didn't come out and disclose ANYTHING about that. Remember? RANDI - not even a part of the NS shitshow - was the one to let the cat out of the bag with her bicoastal party recap (whatever happened to Julia's btw, and any mention of how much money they brought in for charity:water? H a h.), before that it was just VA this, VA that, no full disclosure that trips were discounted or free. Quelle horreur.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh my God.

"Actually, it's funny, I just posted about this."

    1. As fucking if.

    2. How hard must it have been for her not to replace "it's strange" with "it's funny."

    ReplyDelete
  15. Can't find the original link now (a deleted post, perhaps?), but she asked her readers if Sea World was any fun ages ago. She even mentioned at the time that she had been invited to Manta Media Day. It seems like she should have posted her disclosure as soon as she decided to go, if not when she first mentioned the possibility on her blog.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Re the Gawker chat, when did she disclose about Virgin? Randi did but JA never did from what I recall. She twittered about how great they were etc but I don't remember one disclosure. Does anyone else? Of course she's probably gone on and backdated on in now. What an ugly disgusting person she is. "Oh I just happened to pst disclosure 30 minutes ago." Oh really, what a coincidence!

I'd like to see IZEA's detailed disclosure policy. What about lunch.com? Does anyone really believe she wasn't getting somthing to promote them? Mary was very smart to leave and not have her blog tained by Julia Allison's (lack of) ethics any longer.

Journalists, my ass. She probably wouldn't know a journalistic ethic if it bit her in the butt.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Also, I'm sure payment or compensation is not optional for these things. Usually such firms have an elaborate system of contracts and regulations. Therefore I don't buy her "Ok, I'll go, but only if you pay me"-bullshit. Also, as Anon @ 6:37 mentioned, so far we have yet to hear about the "sponsored conversations" (HATE) intermediary. No integrity, Ms. Baugher. You've successfully become inventory at another pimp/matchmaker, this time it's called IZEA.

    ReplyDelete
  18. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  19. There seems to be a few early mentions of Manta Media Day missing.

    ReplyDelete
  20. @TJ: It's worrisome is what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Notice she has only JUST NOW added a link to IZEA's disclosure policy. That wasn't there at the time of this post NOR when it was first posted in comments. Wooooow.

    ReplyDelete
  22. She absolutely deleted some Manta media day posts but was still dumb enough to include her dated calendar for May 8th. So really? It takes 11 days to provide disclosure when you know you're working for a company paying you to promote such a thing? Wait no - even longer because she was ORIGINALLY going to post it the day she got there. Wait, not even, when they actually paid her! Hmm, how strange.

    ReplyDelete
  23. She is spinning and trembling and freaking and spinning and backdating and quivering in her big pink slanket as we speak. The wonk eye must be twitching uncontrollably.

Rambo: Still insist JA is trying really hard to "change her ways?"

    ReplyDelete
  24. Izea sounds like just the place you want to be associated with. They even have "insiders" (?), bloggers representing the "community to the blogosphere". I looked at some of them and can't stop laughing now.

    http://izea.com/community/izea-insiders/

    Perfect crowd for you, Jules.

    ReplyDelete
  25. She first disclosed her Sea World Trip on Twitter, if I remember correctly. I think she was in London at the time...may be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yes I also remember her tweets quite a while ago about sea world. She's been mentioning it for weeks now at least.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Okay, really, we sound psychotic today. Or maybe I'm being extra sensitive. Whatever. But we are combing her internet life with a fine-tooth comb! WHY?!?!?! There's so much on the surface of her life to parse that this "investigation" crap makes us look mentally unhinged, no matter if we are or not. Constantly posting her Twitter feeds? It makes me cringe every time I see folks guessing about her life based on a bunch of open-ended Tweets.

And what she does unethically in this IZEA shit will not hurt the world, to be quite honest. I feel as if we're freaking out a tad too much.

Maybe I just need a break from Julia's insanity. The limit has been reached for now.

    ReplyDelete
  28. hey, guys? can we start emailing the sponsors?

i think we could make a great impact if we got organized. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think Anon 6:52 is correct. It was right after Legoland and we made fun of her for her joyless tour of random theme parks/need to ask her reader (not a typo) for feedback about every freaking decision.

    ReplyDelete
  30. And the 2nd Anon at 6:53 really nails my point home. Like... I don't give enough of a shit about Julia Allison to go out of my way like that. Aren't there others who feel the same?

    ReplyDelete
  31. *erm, the 3rd 6:53 I mean.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonsters 6:53: You're right. We will miss you. Have a nice vacation from this real-life drama. Go watch some reality TV if you need a fictional break.

    Peace out!

    ReplyDelete
  33. @6:53 - Point taken. I think people are trying to show Julia that she can't change history to suit her whims.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @6:55

I'm not going to write letter/emails her sponsors. I'm not invested like that. I do enjoy having fun here, however.

    ReplyDelete
  35. One more thing, I think the outrage is more general. It's horrifying to watch a woman get away with LYING again and again. When she's caught, no matter how small, it becomes a BIG DEAL.

    ReplyDelete
  36. 6:53: Yeah, there are so many others who agree with you. Why don't you all relax a little bit and let us take over with the investgations...

    ReplyDelete
  37. I just did a search on NS for 'Virgin'. No mention of any compensation for her travels. She is such a fucking liar.

I'm almost certain that RBNS'ers were questioning this when she had her bi-coastal b-day bash with Old Yeller. Old Yeller disclosed it, but Jankles NEVER did.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think you're all psychotic. Just relax; we're talking about Sea World!!! As ch as I think JA is annoying, she is just a blogger trying to get little cash. Y'all need to calm down and focus on your own lives. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. 6:58: I hope that means what I think it means. *rubs hands*

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think its time to write sponsors and post the replies here at RBNS..

    ReplyDelete
  41. RBNS didn't break this, Gawker did so I don't get the comment about RBNS freaking out about it. Obviously Gawker thought it important enough a media story to write it. And contacting sponsors doesn't mean people care about Julia Allison. It means people care about this kind of behavior. I don't care who she is. I care that she calls herself a journalist and is doing all she can to degrade journalistic ethics and blogging ethics too every chance she gets.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow. You're all losing it. It's truly incredible how much this girl bothers you. Let her be!

    ReplyDelete
  43. She's commenting on Gawker now

    ReplyDelete
  44. "Sassy," for God's sake, be a little more subtle, will you? You are totally giving yourself away with all your Julia-isms.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Another "lawyerspeak" lie on Gawker. She posted the disclosure about free juice after she was called out on it repeatedly in lunch.com comments. She refuses to acknowledge that and tries to give the impresion that she'd done so before those comments called her out on it.

Submit your feedback to Izea here - don't you think that they would like to know a blogger is violating their ethics? Click on submit feedback and then the "criticism" link on the dropdown menu

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think it's so funny that she defends herself in the comments...what fire is she trying to put out? (Other than the one above her waist, below her neck).

    ReplyDelete
  48. OMG Julia defending herself on IM and in the gawker comments just makes her look 100X worse. Keep digging that grave Julia!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sent to Izea. Done.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Jesus. I just went on Gawker and she actually said she would rather go to Sea World than Dublin because it's not her "thing," and compared Dublin to Times Square.

Yes. A complicated city home to some of the world's greatest monuments, uprisings and civil wars, and historic buildings is totally the same as Times Square, a small stretch of 6 blocks designed for advertising even in the beginning.

For someone who won't stop blogging about college, educational places just aren't her "thing."

    What a fucking child.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm not understanding why people are saying RBNS is freaking out about this nonsense. At the end of the day the Izea thing came from Gawker, NOT here. RBNS has been poking fun at her for Sea World since she started yapping about it, but nobody even speculated it was this kind of paid blogola thing. That we are fully aware NOW that she's been posting about it for awhile without revealing the real intent/motive behind it simply makes it 10x funnier, (and really that much sadder) period. Lawd. Didn't she JUST get on iJustine not too long ago about her sponsored video thing promoting a camera? Hello? At least iJ fully disclosed about it, which she to this day has NEVER done. Just tried to sweep it under the rug until someone eventually questioned her association with whatever she was promoting. Pot, kettle.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Here is another featured blogger from IZEA. Check out her disclosure policy (which is clearly linked from her home page), basically the opposite of Julia Allison's MO. This is how it should be done.

    http://geekmommy.net/disclosure-policy/

    ReplyDelete
  53. Or maybe her Dublin invite was [redacted]; she sure as hell was playing it up when it happened. HOW STRANGE to make a big to-do about something then decide it's suddenly not your thing. Kinda like angling about a "fabulous life" full of parties for a Bravo TV show, having it never coming to fruition, missing out on one of the few media/fameball parties while not being invited to attend anything else... then suddenly deciding one is "really exhausted" by the whole scene and an actually really an introvert! Yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  54. -an before that actually ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. The day Julia Allison gets and posts a disclosure policy is the day she stops trying to pretend she's a celebrity who has these things just thrown at/offered to her without specific expectations from the companies involved. AKA possibly never.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Just read the ichat. Please explain to me why she can't take three days out of her week without being compensated when she does absolutely nothing and has no job? Seriously. Guess you'd better wipe out those vacation plans Jules, wouldn't want to miss out on those "work" days. E Y E R O L L.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I emailed Izea as well. I feel like Reblogging Nonsociety should put together a Julia Allison NEGATIVE press site that cohesively outlines all her lies, manipulations, shady business practices (ditching CES for porn coverage!), etc.

Then we can compile it nicely and blast it out to any company that she attempts to affiliate with her.

    Fuck this lying cunt!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Jacy, for some reason when I click on a post it keeps auto reloading over and over... anyone else have this problem?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Julia;
"Thank you to @Gawker for inviting me to your little rooftop party on Thursday. Unfortunately I'll be ... AT SEA WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    28 minutes ago from web"

Um. they invited all starred commenters. Is this to make up for the party they DIDN'T invite you to?

    ReplyDelete
  60. No, 7:42. But sometime the latest comments don't show up on the first reload. Are you sure you don't have a key stuck?

    ReplyDelete
  61. She's just being cheeky...in her boring, self-centred way.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Further interesting because she ISN'T a starred commenter. I think that was a particularly terrible attempt at a dig due to her absolute massacre in their comments section. Sorry Foolzia.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The saddest thing about this is that she doesn't realize - at all - how manic she appears. It's very unforunate.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hey Jules, get mental help please..

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think Jules was attempting to give a Gawker passive aggressive DIG in her twit. Like, "sorry I Can't go to your little party (she used the word little) party, I'll be in seaworld." She can't deliver a joke/dig but that's what she's trying to communicate.

    ReplyDelete
  66. absolutemente. If only they cared, perhaps they'd reply: @juliaallison no worries sugarplum, you weren't invited. give your fellow mammal shamu a kiss for us.

...sponsorship disclosure? HA. To give a girl credit, it's the one thing that Julia Allison DOES keep secret.

    ReplyDelete
  68. jacy, i didn't make the heil julia image, but i did make the braying gif which...didn't get as much love as i had hoped :( here's a killer julia for you to enjoy. maybe i'll get some love now?

    http://i42.tinypic.com/2ikuxcn.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  69. Um, Dublin. She was most certainly not invited to speak by the conference sponsors, and she can't attend sessions because she's not a member of IEEE or ACM (and the conference isn't free, anyway). She was probably invited by Morin or his gf to tag along for a vacation in Dublin, and then discovered a) she'd have to pay her travel and lodgings; b) she'd have no access to sessions and events.

In Julia-world, this can only mean that it's Dublin's fault. Dublin must be icky. People, this is called "splitting." It's a primitive defense mechanism and way high on the crazy chart.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'll give you love, 8:32.

Also, I loved the GIF. Did you see Jacy's attempt to put it in the header? She couldn't size it right but it was hysterical!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  71. I love it that Julia Allison keeps insisting to Gawker in both the chat and the comments that she is free to speak the truth about Sea World, and that SW/Izea can't "control" her "coverage" (laughable noun, I know) even though she is being paid.

Yeah, right, Jules. Of course if you post negative things ("Seaworld is lame, I'm bored, I miss my Pink Princess Palace, why did I ever agree to do this?") your future moneymaking prospects with Izea will dry up faster than Coastal California.

And that, bunnykins, is why you will not utter a discouraging word from SEA WORLD!!!!!!

Now that your pay-for-play arrangements are out in the open, though, can you please stop once and for all calling yourself a journalist?

    ReplyDelete
  72. 8:36

The conference in Dublin does not pay its speakers if it's the one people posted to last week. She's not going because she can't afford to, if you ask me.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Also, 8:36, I really enjoy you referring to "primative defenses," the hallmark of personality disorder in adulthood. She's got a few:

    * Fantasy: Tendency to retreat into fantasy in order to resolve inner and outer conflicts.
    * Projection: Projection is a primitive form of paranoia. Projection also reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the undesirable impulses or desires without becoming consciously aware of them; attributing one's own unacknowledged unacceptable/unwanted thoughts and emotions to another; includes severe prejudice, severe jealousy, hypervigilance to external danger, and "injustice collecting". It is shifting one's unacceptable thoughts, feelings and impulses within oneself onto someone else, such that those same thoughts, feelings, beliefs and motivations are perceived as being possessed by the other.
    * Hypochondriasis: The transformation of negative feelings towards others into negative feelings toward self, pain, illness, and anxiety.
    * Passive aggression: Aggression towards others expressed indirectly or passively.
    * Acting out: Direct expression of an unconscious wish or impulse without conscious awareness of the emotion that drives that expressive behavior.
    * Idealization: Subconsciously choosing to perceive another individual as having more positive qualities than he or she may actually have.[2]

  74. TJ:

I belong to both ACM and IEEE and this is an engineering conference, not a hip webtard event.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Yeah, I was agreeing, 8:41. Sorry :-)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Bottom line:

It's about Julia being publicly exposed once again for being a liar. And also being reduced to hawk for Seaworld and some web marketing company in order to pay her rent.

I'm not invested in having her fired. The story is here that she is ashamed of her shitty employment opportunity.

  82. Killer Julia: Yeah, the heart earring is what made me laugh out loud. VERY NICE!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I feel ashamed of her on behalf of professional journalists everywhere, Dyspeptic. We are in TOTAL agreement.

Jacy: Thank you for cluing me in re: Heart earring. I thought it was just a cool decorative airbrush. Love it just as much, if not better no!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Oops, that was Dyspeptic who called the earring.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Of course the gaping, greedy maw opening wide to gulp as many freebies and swag and "sponsorships" as possible also is pretty splendid. I salute you.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I have laughed many many times, very very hard, at some of the things commenters have said and done here, but never have I laughed as hard as I am laughing right now at that killer whale shot.

This is even better than the Karp/Lilly Photoshopping, which was also awesome.

    I cannot stop.

    ReplyDelete
  87. It is just so perfect in every way.

    ReplyDelete
  88. No, after you, Alphonse, er Jacy--it was YOU who called the earring and I felt moved to chime in with renewed love for Killer J. It always cracked me up that Julia apparently bought those earrings in every color so she could haul them out on her various festal days.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Shamulia! braying and braying, but never about the right stuff (ie. disclosure). it's kind of like the boy who cried wolf, shamulia... half-assed disclosures after the fact are only acceptable for so long. your credibility is in the trash along with lilly's poops that you keep having to pick up from the floors of tumblr's offices.

  95. from BusinessWeek.com (http://tinyurl.com/p5o8nj):

"Blogola: The FTC Takes On Paid Posts. The Federal Trade Commission wants bloggers to disclose when they've been wooed with cash or freebies from companies they cover

This summer, the government agency is expected to issue new advertising guidelines that will require bloggers to disclose when they're writing about a sponsor's product and voicing opinions that aren't their own. The new FTC guidelines say that blog authors should disclose when they're being compensated by an advertiser to discuss a product...

The world's more ambitious bloggers like to call themselves 'citizen journalists.' The government is trying to make sure these heralds don't turn into citizen advertisers."

  96. I could be wrong, but I thought it was dangerous to let whales swim with dolphins.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  100. Apparently Valleywag is back to covering Julia's sad and make believe life 24-7. Izea is making a huge mistake working with her like all who have.

    Julia's a joke.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Julia's not being "paid for her time." She's getting her travel paid. She'll be at the same hotel as all the other media there.

    ReplyDelete
  102. The most telling aspect of this is that Julia Allison Baugher can't just matter-of-fact disclose like any other blogger does.
No. She has to OVER disclose. Yes, blah blah blah but "my time must be paid for" (shut up Julia) and all I ever promise to do is show up (shut up Julia) and if I don't like it you'll hear about it (shut up Julia). Too much disclosure, over disclosure, effusive disclosure. In other words: More smoke. More mirrors. And why would ANY organization want to have this embarrarasment's name associated with THEIR brand? That is the question that will forever mystify. And to pay for it?! Whew boy. Who are the idiot investors paying for this stuff? She is the anti-ad.

    ReplyDelete
  103. @9:42

Read Julia's own words on Gawker. She's getting paid for coverage. Travel is one of the perks but her time and coverage is being paid for.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I bet the seals balancing balls on their tips of their nose will remind Julia of Karp's last visit to her apartment.

You have to pay taxes on any type of winnings over $600 because it's the law. It's considered income gain.

  108. Julia's SAT WordsMay 19, 2009 at 10:00 PM

Got to admit, I'm having a rought time (job searching, long distance relationship). Posting snarky comments on Gawker has made me feel better.

  109. JA's fatal flaw -- her need to have people believe she is connected, in demand, adored and sought after -- is proving to be her downfall. It's wrecked all of her relationships and now it's ruining her career and her professional reputation. If she was in any way interesting, and not simply some vapid douchebag, the hubris would be almost Shakespearean.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Poor widdle Julia. She has to try to remain relevant by going on sad, pathetic junkets. Too bad that even her supposed friends won't help her.

Julia, how come your bestie Courtney Friel doesn't bring you in as a guest when they have that moron hosting The Strategy Room on Fox News online? There are lots of no-names and never-gonna-bes there, so you'd fit in so well!

So true. Like her initial tweet about sea world. I was just "invited" to attend such and such event...

Then today we learn she was "invited" because she's signed up for a pay per post type program.

The reality is very different than the impression she tries and wants to make.

    ReplyDelete
  112. By Julia's logic, I was "invited" to come to work today.

  115. From an interview on Asha'a press page:

"A: Nonsociety recently launched community pages (Question of the Day and Advice Box) to make sure that there is a place for our readers to comment and ask questions. Our readers not only have the ability to comment in text form, but also post responses with videos, photos, links, and music. Being able to post in various forms, will hopefully employ more interaction within the NonSociety community. As for TMI we will address the posted comments at the beginning of the show and respond to them in within the comment threads."

    OH REALLY?

  116. Ha ha, TJ, I read that interview too a while ago. What a joke.

  118. I can't stop laughing at this picture. Not only is Julia barking like a seal, but the way her arm and waist is photoshopped is hilarious.

There is no way she is skinnier than Mary.

Curious... so Julia is definitely getting a free round trip flight to Florida (and maybe one for her friend??), and obviously a free hotel room, but I'm wondering, what do you guys thinks she charges for 3 days of her time? I am genuinely curious. The thought of her getting paid for basically doing nothing makes me feel a little ill. What is she contributing to this world?

  121. The creepy cretin's latest post on her "lifecast": "Most Important: What lipdub should I do at Sea World?!?!?!"

How about "If I Only Had A Brain"?

Oh, I would tell you why
    The ocean's near the shore
I could think of things I never thunk before
And then I'd sit and think some more

I would not be just a nuffin'
My head all full of stuffin'
My heart all full of pain
I would dance and be merry
    Life would be a ding-a-derry
If I only had a brain

When the comments get over 100, read them from bottom up really fast, only getting the first couple of sentences from each one.

  128. She's a public figure. And if this blog upsets her, she can just stop reading it.

    ReplyDelete
  129. That picture is fantastic!!!

It's probably been mentioned before, but I would suggest Julia lipdubs either
Lily Allen's The Fear or Beck's Loser or Kings of Leon's Slow Night So Long. All very fitting and if RBNS were to do a lipdub for her, we should do Fraud by Frenzal Rhomb:

    http://www.last.fm/music/Frenzal+Rhomb/_/Fraud

Why can't you see you shouldn't have
generated all this bullshit while you had the chance
The power that you have is such a waste
Don't try to extend your hand
'cause all I've got to tell you
    Is that I don't give a fuck
    It's such a Fraud
    it's such a fr-orrrrrrrrrd
When something hits you in the face
maybe you would notice if it hit
    below the waist
Perpetuate the tired and backward taste
Don't try to extend your hand
'cause all I got to tell you
    Is that I don't give a fuck.

Quick and dirty as she deserves.

  130. thanks guys!! glad you like the photo. i had waaay too much fun making it. i was literally giggling over my computer. not to mention, it was a great challenge trying to fit julia's head on that sleek whale face :)

i have no problem being RBNS resident photoshop nerd. just give me assignments and i'll pump em' out! this is a lot more fun that the stupid corporate bullshit i make at work. i sense a new portfolio is in order...

    ReplyDelete
  131. HOW did you get her cheeks to fit on that slim whalehead? Photoshop skillz, indeed!

  132. Why did my comment get deleted??? Because I suggested this blog would eventually yield a lawsuit?? First of all - you're kidding yourself if you don't think it will. Second of all - how is that comment worthy of censorship. WTF?

    ReplyDelete
  133. All the comments about there being multiple Jacy's are gone too. This kind of censorship is not only selfserving, Jacy, but it's antithetical to what this blog is about.

    ReplyDelete
  134. anon 10:03, can you please explain how this blog will yield a lawsuit? How is it any different than the millions of other websites that bash or make fun of public figures?

  136. Wow, I can't believe Jacy deleted all the comments about them adopting their own handles. Whats the big deal?

  137. Jacy deleting comments that are critical of her (them) is fucking inexcusable.
