Julia: Twitter Harrassment -- UPDATED

Watch what happens here:

juliaallison: "If you're attractive you don't need to be funny, because people like you anyway." - our waitress @ Lure

ashleystar: @juliaallison someone thinks you're attractive but not funny? GET OUT OF HERE. really?

Ten hours later:

ashleystar: @juliaallison please stop trying to reprimand me via DM. I'm sure you're hilarious AND pretty. Geez.

Is this what she does? She constantly Twitter-pukes her insanity for her thousands of followers, but if anyone dares take issue with her narcissistic and banal brain vomit, she starts inundating them with direct messages?

What must these ones have said? "I AM TOO FUNNY, YOU CUNT!!!!" "BITCH! I AM PRETTY AND FUNNY!!!"

No wonder the New York Magazine diss sent her into such a tailspin.

UPDATE: Ashley Star has provided this link to a helpful commenter. JA's message to her:

"They weren't talking about me. Why would you be so rude? Strange. I would never say something like that to someone I didn't know."

Because she's NICE, people!! She is SO NICE!!!

  2. Jacy, I adore every unflattering, ugly and just god-awful Julia Allison photo you dig up. More please.

  3. Little Miss Image Control Julia Allison turns major aggressive towards anyone at the tiniest perceived slight. The ugly claws come out, whether it's NY Mag or some random twitterer. HUGE insecurity and aggression issues.

Jacy, I think you need to change all of your banners, posts titles and headers to be more "Julia Allison" specific for Google purposes. Taunt her into going aggro on you!

let this serve as further proof that whatever nutjob was claiming jacy was ja is totally out of it. ja wants two types of attention:

    1. all positive, saying how awesome and beautiful and funny she is.

    2. sexually suggestive items that imply she is in demand by men, like the items she leaked about getting finger-banged by the hot men's magazine guy and more recently, jay cutler.

what she cannot stand or abide in any way is criticism. she does not want anyone knowing she lies, she schemes and she has many haters.

nor will she ever allow any hideous photos of herself to be posted. ever. she goes NUTS when this one shows up here because it is out of her control.

  8. What would dear old granny - bequeather of cash, REAL Chanel bags and Lilly Pulitzer dresses - think of Julia Baugher's public displays of aggression? Does this fall into the category of "letting it unfold?" Petulant Polly needs to take her twitter toys and go home to hug her teddy bear. What a giant, whiny baby.

  9. I follow ashleystar and brought this to her attention. She sent me this:

  10. Someone's cranky on only four hours sleep. Poor wittle dittums! Are people being mean to you???

    ReplyDelete
  11. It must be nice to have the time in life to sleep 12 hours a day, get a free dinner, and then sit around in a dog hair covered slanket attempting to do damage control on your @ replies.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I've received a few nasty DMs from Jackles, too. And I didn't even call her out on anything, I asked a question about NS.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anon 11:36, that's roughly the same message she sends to anyone who dislikes her. Trust me.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hahaha, 11.36 - that is begging for juxtaposition with all the lovely stuff she said (recently and in the past) about people she doesn't know, like, let's say Britney, or Rosie's biker shorts, or Anna Wintour's posture and adorable accent and so on...
    Hypocrite!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Julia makes the wrong assumption that everyone who criticizes her or says something mean doesn't really know her. This couldn't be further from the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  16. partypants---it must be nice to give handjobs to guys who drop a thousand bucks on a drunken whim!

    ReplyDelete
  17. TJ, exactly. If you REALLY KNEW her you would omglovehug her! She seriously can't accept anyone not liking her. She just assumes you must not know her AT ALL.

I've had several of those messages myself.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I was about to say the same thing, Ironic Slanket. It's OK for her to go on TV and spout shit about celebrities she doesn't know, but when a random twitterer DARES poke fun at her, she sends them a passive aggressive DM? WTF? Julia Allison is such a fucking hypocrite. Ugly on the inside and out. And not funny.

    ReplyDelete
  19. There were several critical comments on lunch.com about the hair removal post. They've all been removed in the past 24 hours.

    ReplyDelete
  20. She's really taking that photoshopping of her with Hitler to heart isn't she.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And don't forget Julia's massive deletion campaign on her facebook fan page of everyone that stopped by to post something critical or along the lines of "why the hell did you get added as a fan? I am NOT a fan!"

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh, she not only deleted them, she facebook messaged some of them to ask why they would want to be fans when she knows they say mean things about her!

For anyone who thinks she doesn't read RBNS that should have been enough confirmation.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Remember how it took about 30 minutes for this unflattering oyster hogging picture of Julia to mysteriously disappear from flickr after it was linked here -

    http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vJmq_s-InUM/Se9JgrdfUNI/AAAAAAAAAQ0/zkY4qAL5frI/s1600-h/mmmmoysters.com

yeah - no doubt she reads here and has a total meltdown over every negative thing said about her.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What a nut! She is crazy. Every time I check in here, I find out how much more crazy she actually is.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I didn't know that, partypants. How pathetic! Remember when she claimed that she had thousands of emails and could never respond to all of them and even had to do a HUGE PURGE every now and then. I find it funny that she responds to her haters and regularly emails me within seconds should I ever send her an email.

    ReplyDelete
  26. "Why would you be so rude? Strange. I would never say something like that to someone I didn't know."

    Tweet 2:

"Being direct and up front with your feelings provides such short-lived gratification. It's best to assert your negative emotions in passive, underhanded ways. You can get away with so much more, and then feign innocence and mock outrage if someone calls you on it. That's what I would do."

  28. Oh, and that quote from the waitress? DUMB and WRONG. Attractive people who think they don't need to have a personality because they can skate by on their looks are, in my circle, some of the least liked and boorish folks out there.

Did you challenge her on that, Feminist?
No? You thought she had a good point?

This is why we dislke you, Julia Allison.

  33. Attention commenters: I just deleted a bunch of JITNJA comments, and Partypant's replies, and one of mine as well, because it was going to get ugly, pointless and stupid, and I hate commenter-on-commenter wars that lead to people being total assholes, trying to out people, threaten people, etc etc etc., because it's stupid, boring and crazy.

Just for full disclosure purposes. Carry on!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Isn't that what ya'll do to JA all day long? Just wondering...how is it different?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Shut up Julia. Quit trying to divert attention to Jacy. We know it's you. You're here because someone made fun of your vagina yesterday and you are upset.

Want another clue about why she changed her name (aside from the plagiarism charge)? A little wayback -- the link is the message board for the Opie and Anthony show the day "julia baugher" appeared on the show back in 2005. She was humiliated. If she could have only predicted the things that have been said about her since she changed her surname to Allison. Ha -

Bravo, Jacy. JINTJA is a crazymotherfucker who comes on here all the time, I suspect, posing as a bunch of nasty anons and one other named commenter. The spelling mistakes are always the same, and they are particularly weird ones, and I recognize those same errors from a crazy Gawker commenter who used to inundate us with madness. Carry on.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ha! This was one of the comments in the Opie & Anthony thread. Apparently hiding code is one of JA's old tricks:

I hate these self-promoting bitches. If you loook at the code for her shitty website the follwing words are hidden in the page for google purposes:

  43. As much as I love a good JA slamfest, that thread made me want to boil my eyeballs. I couldn't even finish reading it. Is referring to women as "holes" an O&A thing? Jesus.

  46. 12:35: Seems like the comment thread was authored by a bunch of holes as well. I sometimes really don't get guys. Beneath the misogyny were some interesting points, though. ReplyDelete
  47. hahahaha see, cannot stop the mistakes. im the new M Rambin.

  48. Great find, Anon 12:18PM!!!

No wonder she changed her name. These guys ripped her a new one. They also call her out for posting keywords on her old site www.juliabaugher.com but not hiding them. Sound familiar???

"I hate these self-promoting bitches. If you loook at the code for her shitty website the follwing words are hidden in the page for google purposes: "SEXPERT"!!!! Oh my God!!

    Another gem:

"what an annoying bee-yatch. Had to have an answer for everything. Far too self-confident for her own good. She had nerve trying to crack jokes on Bill and Jimmy. She wasn't even remotely funny, but she swore she was HILARIOUS"

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Right, Jankles?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Another great comment re: her appearance on the Opie + Anthony radio show in 2005 as Julia Baugher:

"I mentioned this in the listening thread but yeah, I went to Georgetown, graduated a year or two below this hole, and God damn did she stink up with her column in the school paper.

All anyone thought was that she was a know-it-all bitch who got boned by a politician. Stuck up, golddigging, pretentious rich whore. Just like the majority of girls at Georgetown. Yech. Someone should violate her with a railroad spike."

    http://www.wackbag.com/showthread.php?t=32767

    ReplyDelete
  50. "Yeah, she was hot and all, but she just sounds like one of those bitches that isn't nearly as smart as she thinks she is. She just sounds so full of herself and that men (or Hawk) should drop thousands of dollars on her just because. I mean, hell, she's only 25 or something; how can you speak as an authority on a subject when you really don't have all that much experience in it? Because she reads books from Urban Outfitters? Nice try, hole."

  51. That awful Opie and whoever the fuck was full of idiots. Not so much this link from 2004:

  57. The O&A interview that inspired all that hate: http://gawker.com/5002338/what-is-the-difference-between-a-dating-expert-and-a-slut-with-a-pen

There really is like a template for her life at this point. I'm really starting to feel horrible for her.

    ReplyDelete
  58. SomeProblems, there are some gems in that article "Tempest in a B cup." That article is from 2004 - yet these quotes from it are SO timely right now:

"My point is, if a young, attractive woman positions herself as a sex columnist, it's a fast ride up but it's a steeper drop."

"when you market yourself as an extension of your product, and what you're selling is sex, you've got a shorter shelf life. It helps to have some backup skills. Given that Baugher's initial PR blitz resulted from a fortuitous date and a gig she no longer has, whether she's set for the long haul is anyone's guess."

Julia Allison's many meltdowns = NOT in it for the long haul

    ReplyDelete
  59. I know this has been said before, Crazytrain, but at the end of the day no one forced her into this kind of life.
Maybe this will cheer you up:

    http://web.archive.org/web/20050208095818/juliabaugher.com/Halloween.htm

On reflection, it probably won't, but shows that the pink madness goes waaay back.

SomeProblems: Yay.com! :) Seriously, since we're all here because of an ongoing human tragedy, everybody should get as much laughter out of this as they can.

Thanks you, friends for finding juliabaugher.com! It has been way too long since I have made an appearance. I don't know why Julia Allison Baugher had to take the knife to me. That was not a very nice thing to do! Here I am if you would like to see me before Julia Allison Baugher used her graduation gift to slice and dice me.

  61. Thank you, 12:53! Loving the "bio" page from Sex on the Hilltop.com -

"She has even written about her experiences dating Congressman Harold Ford, one of People’s 50 Most Beautiful People in 2001."

This was in her bio? Ugh. She's gross.

    ReplyDelete
  62. from JA's bio @ sexonthehilltop.com -

"With Sex on the Hilltop in its second year, the eyes of the entire campus are on her, wondering what this straight-talking political science student will do next."

OMG, I'm bwahahahahahahaha'ing here @ the thought of JA writing this copy!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. "Why would you be so rude? Strange. I would never say something like that to someone I didn't know."
A prime example of Julia Allison Baugher precision speak. Using her own rules, the following statements are therefore potentially true:
"I would say something like that to someone I do know."
"I would say something like that "about" someone I don't know."
    etc. etc.

    If I had a twitter I'd write:

@JuliaAllison is SO exhausted! But not too tired to tweet-stalk anyone who dares utter a less than flattering comment. Sad. :(

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yeah, you're right ironic slanket. It's her own damn fault which is why there is still a little bit of schadenfreude in watching her fail miserably. But . . . the more of this archive still that we dig up the more it just seems, I duno, a little tragic? It seems - at the very least - as though she's been exhibiting really unhealthy behavior patterns for a long time now and has no friends and family to intervene. At worst it seems as though she has a legitimate disorder. There's something terribly sad about that.

I don't mean to bring down the festivities around here. I'm not sure why I was just suddenly hit by all this unwarranted empathy. I'm sure it will pass shortly. Like as soon as she tweets about someone else's marital troubles or psychological condition. Ick...okay, empathy waning...

    ReplyDelete
  65. For what it is worth, Julia's Old Nose, i liked you better!

    ReplyDelete
  66. how do you get the web.archive stuff to show up? it didnt work for me but your link does.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Crazytrain, those waves of empathy occasionally wash up around here, but they quickly retreat as soon as Julia Allison engages in some nasty behavior like tweeting about strangers' arguments, shutting down blogs or forcing people to "fan" her on Facebook.

No one feels sorry for her because she chooses to "put it all out there" sometimes to a disturbing degree. Yes, she has emotional and mental issues but her family and friends - people that are supposed to care - ignore and enable her bad behavior. She will never, EVER change. We're just here to watch the trainwreck.

    ReplyDelete
  68. But that is the real tragedy, even scandal, about this: That seemingly none of those close to her can be bothered enough to stage an intervention and force her to confront her issues. I really don't know if they don't care or have reached a stage of resignation, but if my family failed me like this, I'd be pretty pissed (once I had found my way to therapy and processed all the mess).

    ReplyDelete
  69. @crazytrain - Why should we feel bad for her? I'm sorry, but look at her life:
    - She has friends (RBNS'ers like to rip them apart but they're there)
    - She has a supportive family
    - She has $ and
    - She has a big, fat inheritance waiting for her so she will likely never have to worry about $, ever
    - She gets to travel the world and live in NYC in her own (small, but) very nice place
    - She never takes any criticism to heart for more than a few seconds, and then she shrugs it off and hits an Alice & Olivia sample sale or plans a carribean vacation.

???? I'm sorry, I don't feel bad for her at all. Her looks pretty easy, breezy most of the time. (Hence the resentment most of us have toward her and others who make skating by into an art form.)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yeah, crazytrain, I get like that too.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Sad :( - I do not envy any of those fleeting and material items you listed above that Julia Allison has. All of the money, travel, access and opportunities in the world will not mask a morally bankrupt and generally rotten human being, nor will they truly make her happy. Do you really think she's happy? Clearly she is not. I don't resent her life, nor do I want her life. I am not jealous of her at all -- who would be?

    ReplyDelete
  72. FormerGawkerEmployeeMay 5, 2009 at 1:42 PM

Way to steal my handle, jackarse 1:36.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Julia Baugher does not have "issues" that need to be resolved with an intervention. She's nothing more than a tedious, obnoxious bore who's carved out her own little corner on the internet because she doesn't have any career, interests or pursuits outside of her online life.

She can do this ALL DAY because her parents don't care enough to do anything and won't cut her off financially, so she has the time and money to continue to act like the spoiled princess in JuliaLand, spending her days trying to shut down her haters. They (and her grandma) just enable her by continuing to throw money at the problem.

    ReplyDelete
  74. @ Crazytrain - I forgot to give you props for being a sincerely nice & caring person. Seriously. You're better than I am.

Also - I think that friends have said things to her about it. I remember she wrote about a long heart to heart she had w/Dan about how he told her that he hated the shallowness of her blog. Her own brother did some geeked-out graph showing how few of her blog posts had any actual content. JA's response?

re: Dan - Seems like it had an impact but she was so. tired
    http://julia.nonsociety.com/post/51355665-0-0

re: brother Britt: made a joke about it. (here is the link) http://julia.nonsociety.com/lifecast/70542430-0-2-graph-1

I suppose she didn't feel like blogging publicly about it. Regardless, I'm with Dan. I don't like her product and if she is this wonderful, likeable person? Just be her, and quit the persona.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Huh? After duelling crazytrains, now duelling FGEs? Does not Julia Allison Baugher provide enough craziness for everyone?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous 1:38 - Ignorance is bliss. And JA is blissfully ignorant, by choice or sheer will, 98% of the time. She does have moments where reality sinks in - that's when we get the late night confessional vlogs. But then she shakes it off and goes headband shopping.

Seems like a pretty easy-peasy life to me. What you don't know (or blatantly ignore) won't hurt you. And, yes, because of this I'm convinced that she's a fairly happy person. Or, no more unhappy than the rest of us, put it that way.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Exhaustion seems to be Julia Baugher's excuse for everything. Funny for a person who does not appear to actually work, ever.

    ReplyDelete
  78. And I do resent people who skate by in life! It's annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Julia isn't ignorant of what's going on around her - she actively and aggressively tries to crush any criticism of her. If she was following an "ignorance is bliss" mantra, she wouldn't care. Even the most slightly unflattering photo sends her into a tailspin. There was an unflattering photo linked here of her eating oysters on someone else's and it was deleted LESS THAN 30 MINUTES LATER. That is not the behavior of someone who shakes things off. That is the behavior of a crazy lunatic hell bent on trying to control the entire internet. It's sick.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Don't forget the many shots she's had individual photogs remove, the wiki entry nonsense, etc. etc. If she can't control the light you view her in, she flips. Then she tries to play for sympathy when the backlash gets to be too much. Rinse, repeat.

    ReplyDelete
  81. No you're right, Sadface. I didn't mean to say we should feel bad for her. She has had every opportunity in the world, and is certainly not pitiable. She has earned all of the contempt that we all feel toward her.

My point was just that she seems a little tragic at this point. It absolutely is all her own doing - but you have to wonder about a person who is misguided and unhinged enough to do all this to herself. It's almost starting to feel like laughing at a disabled person.

    ReplyDelete
  82. To be sure - I meant the "laughing at a disabled person" remark as commentary about Julia, not about the people who criticize her (myself included).

    ReplyDelete
  83. @crazytrain - I hear you. It is a little tragic and, in all honesty, on days when I'm bored and find myself obsessing on RBNS, I feel dirty. Hay-zeus was right when he said "Let he who is w/o sin cast the first stone." It's easy to go off on JA because she is a stranger and she's so public and - in my eyes, at least - she exemplifies every entitled, narcissistic, Regina George type I've ever met. Easy to cast stones at someone who seems so full of herself, but reading the comments here shed new light on her for me. Girlfriend really does have some nasty demons to fight.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Oh wow, the girl Sarah M. in those pictures with JA from the "Friends from 2003!" link still haunts Capitol Lounge in DC. She's notorious on the Hill. She is known for getting Botox when she was in her early twenties/wants to marry a plastic surgeon.

She's JA but with no self-promoting skills (same shamelessness, love of injectables, quest for rich husband is reason for living).

So sad. They were obviously friends from the IU days.

  85. Julia's ticking clockMay 5, 2009 at 3:01 PM

From Julia's bio on her old juliabaugher.com site -
"Although she has dated medical students, law students, a CIA agent, and of course, a Congressman, Baugher is currently single, having just broken up with a fellow Georgetown student, the son of investment billionaire Sir Michael Fay of New Zealand.“I’m not getting married anytime soon,” says Baugher. “I figure I still have about seven more years of dating in me!”"

  86. Now that's funny, in that mediabistro article RBNS links to ("Becoming Julia Allison"), she also specifies her "expiration date" [sic] as "maybe seven years" - and that quote is from April 2008. With reference to her "career", but still, she really is stuck in her own time.

  87. Oh, WayBackMachine...you are the BEST!

Anyone remember JakobandJulia.com, the blog she set up with her ex?

The internet never forgets, Jankles. NEVER.

    "Dear Jakob,

    Fuck you.

This was YOUR idea in the first place.

I just took you to see the Grinch, and you were an ass the entire night. You didn’t like the video I made for you. You said that you “never would have made a video like that for anyone.” You told me that maybe I should be more selfish.

I think it’s really sad. I think you’re really sad.

    Well...
I don’t think a public website is the appropriate forum for this type of discussion.

  89. Dear Jakob,

One of my favorite things for a boyfriend to say is: “I’ll pick you up at 7:30, dress nicely!” and he surprises me with tickets to a ballet (or the opera or a play or whatever - but dance is my favorite), and then dinner reservations at a cool new place, all planned out and coordinated so I don’t have to do ANY WORK or thinking at all! (Actually, it doesn’t even have to be at night, or fancy, the point is that he’s taken the time to find an exciting new activity, and he’s arranged everything.)

I think women frequently believe men will “just know these things” but A) it’s incredibly stupid to assume men “just know” ANYTHING and B) different women like different things.

Still, fellas, it’s a very safe assumption that your girlfriend will ALWAYS appreciate any effort you make like this - so many women do so much planning and coordinating and arranging that they’d LOVE to sit back and let the guy take over!

    Love,

    Julia

    Wow she is UNHINGED.

Huh. Hey, Jackles? Kind of ironic considering Jakob is now dating a DANCER, isn't it?

  92. Dear Jakob,

One of my favorite things is when a boyfriend does everything for me. He comes over, with a nurse maid, and makes sure that I've taken in the proper nutrition. He then selects my outfits and has the nurse maid places it on me.

I don't expect men to know these things. Men are stupid. Don't worry about it. Just follow these directions closely.

So the nurse maid dresses me, and maybe you feed me with a straw, while she's putting on my socks and shoes. Liquid cupcakes, baby! And I love when my boyfriend brings a wheel chair (NOT A CANE!) and wheels me to a Fairy Princess Ballet or Opera.

Please arrange for handicapped seating to accomidate my wheel chair. All girls LOVE handicapped seating. We are handicapped! Then, We go to dinner. You put a bib on me. Pink and frilly with sequins and lace. Again, I don't expect you to know these things, Jakob. Really---men are from mars, women are from venus.

Anyway, You feed me with a sparkly pink spoon. Women should not lift a finger! You give me something shiny and pretty at the end of the night (preferably, one of those "Help, I can't get up" necklaces with diamond inlay).

You roll me into bed. Tuck me in. Read me a story. You do not touch me!

    Oh, I love you Jakob!

  93. The Grinch? He didn't thank her for taking him to a children's play?

Yes, Dr. Seuss is great but Grinch on Bway = fun for 6 year olds. I don't think she understood how to date a hipster.

  94. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jakob is an obnoxious, pretentious, smug little jerk. I still can't tell who was using whom in that relationship, or why either of them liked the other in the first place.
